BorderUAS

BorderUAS: Semi-autonomous border surveillance platform combining next generation unmanned aerial vehicles with ultra-high-resolution multi-sensor surveillance payload

BorderUAS (www.borderuas.eu) is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020. The project will combine for the first time the Hiperfsera’s lighter-than-air UAV with sophisticated surveillance technology. BorderUAS aims to facilitate effective border surveillance and prevent cross-border criminal activities by supporting search & rescue applications, specifically rough terrain detection, improving the protection of European societies.

With this project Hipersfera is positioned within the top 5 private organizations in Croatia by the amount of EU funding from H2020.

OBJECTIVES

UAS Components

Develop UAS components to support low cost and long duration border surveillance operations.

Sensor Development

Develop sensors and data processing / fusion / interpretation methods to support detection & tracking in difficult terrain, extreme weather conditions and unstructured environments.

Validation

Validate and test the solution in realistic border surveillance conditions.

Communication

Conduct dissemination, communication and exploitation activities.

DIAN (ITALY)
DIAN’s activities are geared to providing remote sensing services of natural phenomena and non-destructive infrastructure monitoring services and products with the use of GNSS and space-borne and/or ground based interferometric radar sensors

TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF CRETE (GREECE)

The Digital Image and Signal Processing Laboratory of TUC is involved in research on signal/image processing, analysis and data mining with applications in imaging systems,integrated automation and biomedical data analysis.

INSTITUTE MIHAILO PUPIN (SERBIA)

The Institute Mihailo Pupin is a leading Serbian R&D institution in information and communication technologies, the largest and the oldest    in the whole Southeastern Europe.

KEMEA (GREECE)

The Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) is a think tank on homeland security policies and an established research center within  the  Hellenic Ministry of Citizen Protection aiming  to  support  security  policy  implementations  in Greece at a strategic level.

HELLENIC POLICE (GREECE)

CDBP (BULGARIA)

THE STATE BORDER GUARD SERVICE OF UKRAINE (UKRAINE)

The establishment of Ukrainian nationality occurred simultaneously with the development of the national border agency, solution to issues of state border control, its legal registration and infrastructure development.
